Laser Resurfacing
Rigor Dermatology & Laser Center offers laser resurfacing treatments to the residents of Pasadena, CA. We also service Los Angeles, CA. Laser resurfacing treatments are recommended by Dr. Rigor for patients who want to reduce the fine lines around their eyes, mouths and cheeks. The treatments are also effective for treating sun damage and minor flaws in your skin.
Laser resurfacing treatments are performed using two types of lasers — ablative and non-ablative. Ablative lasers, such as Pearl, Pearl Fractional and Pearl Fusion treatments, remove thin layers of skin. Non-ablative lasers do not remove lasers of your skin, but stimulate the body’s natural collagen production to tighten the skin. Non-ablative laser treatments include Genesis Plus, Laser Genesis and LimeLight.

What happens during the laser resurfacing treatment at Rigor Dermatology & Laser Center?
The treatment plan for your laser resurfacing treatment depends on your individual case. Some types of laser resurfacing treatments require Dr. Rigor to administer a topical anesthesia. Most treatments, though, do not require anesthesia. Laser resurfacing treatments are performed by Dr. Rigor using small, handheld lasers that release laser energy in small bursts. You may experience a sensation similar to a small pinch when Dr. Rigor administers the laser energy to your skin.
