Radio Frequency (RF) Laser
Laser resurfacing treatments may utilize either ablative or non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers, such as Pearl, Pearl Fractional and Pearl Fusion treatments, remove thin layers of skin. Non-ablative lasers do not remove skin layers, instead working by stimulating natural collagen production to tighten the skin. Non-ablative laser treatments include Genesis Plus, Laser Genesis and LimeLight.
At Rigor Dermatology & Laser Center, we create personalized treatment plans to ensure your laser resurfacing sessions give you the best possible results. For some procedures, Dr. Rigor may administer a topical anesthesia. Healing time varies depending on the type of treatment received. Many laser procedures require no downtime at all, while others require at least one week. During Dr. Rigor’s comprehensive consultation, he will discuss any necessary post-treatment care and restrictions.

Radio frequency skin tightening uses RF energy to heat tissue and stimulate collagen production, reducing fine lines and loose skin, and providing a non-surgical alternative to facelifts.
These laser treatments use patented technology to heat the dermis, the deeper layer of the skin, while protecting the epidermis, or outer skin layer. At Rigor Dermatology & Laser Center, Dr. Rigor recommends Laser Genesis treatments to improve skin texture and reduce redness, including nose-reddening rosacea, pore size, and wrinkles caused by age, stress, sun damage, or smoking.
Typically, anesthesia is not required for Laser Genesis treatments, during which Dr. Rigor uses short laser bursts to target treatment areas. Treatment may cause a sensation similar to a rubber band snapping the skin. There is no downtime following treatment.
